To day's Subhashit

वैद्यराज  नमस्तुभ्यं यमराज  सहोदर
यमस्तु हरति प्राणान्वैद्य: प्राणन्धनानि च

 Vaidyaraaj namastubhyam Yamaraaj sahodaram
yamastu harati praananvaidyah praandhanaani cha.

i.e.  O Vaidyaraaj I offer salute to you as a real brother of Yamaraaj. While Yamaraaj robs a person only his life , you rob both his wealth and life.

Vaidtaraaj = A person practising the Indian system of Medicine and treatment of sick persons
Yamaraaj =  According to Hindu Mythology, Yama is the God assigned the job of taking life force out of
person on completion of the period  of his living on Earth and taking him to heaven or Hell
depending upon his 'Karma' in this world

The above shloka is an example of a satire about an incompetent Vaidya. There are many 'Subhashits' also praising a competent and kind hearted Vaidya.
