To day's Subhashit.

संपूर्ण कुम्भो न करोति शब्दं
अर्धो घटो घोषमुपेति नूनं
विद्वान् कुलीनों न करोति गर्व
गुणैर्विहीना बहु जल्पयन्ति

Sampoorna kumbho na karoti shabdam
Ardho ghato ghoshmupaiti noonam
Vidwan kuleeno na karoti garva
Gunairviheenaa bahu jalpayanti.

i.e.    A pitcher full with water does not create any sound, whereas a half-filled pitcher always creates  loud  sound.  Like-wise learned and noble persons never display pride over their achievements, whereas persons without any qualities brag too much about their so called achievements.

Sampoorna = whole, complete.        Kumbha/ Ghat =  a round pitcher with a small opening.
Karoti = does.          Shabdam = sound.            Ghosh = say with a loud sound.
Mupaiti = creates.             Noonam = surely, always.            Vidwaan = a learned person.
Kuleen = noble,           Karoti = does.              Garva = pride.          Guna = qualities.
Viheena =  without.            Bahu = many,  more.        Jalpak = a loud-mouthed person, boaster, braggart.
Bahu Jalpayanti = bragging too much,
