आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

एको  न  रोपितो  यावदुत्पन्नोSयं  वृणोSपरः  |

सत्यः प्रवादो यच्च्छिद्रेष्वनर्था यान्ति भूरितां  || - महासुभषितसंग्रह 

भावार्थ -   जिस प्रकार शरीर में हुए  एक व्रण (फोडा) को न बढने  

देने  का प्रयत्न करने पर भी  और व्रण उत्पन्न हो जाते  हैं   उसी 

प्रकार यह्  भी सत्य है कि एक ही प्रवाद (झूठा आरोप या गप्प ) के 

कारण हुई भ्रान्ति  से और भी  अनेक  प्रवाद उत्पन्न हो कर हानि 

पहुंचाते हैं |

Eko na ropito yaavadutpannoyam vrunoparah.

Satyah pravaado yacchidreshvanarthaa yaanti bhooritaam.

Eko = one alone.    Na = not     Ropito = caused to grow.

Yaavadutpannoyam =  yaavat +utpaanno+ ayam.    Yaavat =

until.     Utpanno =appeared,  risen.     Ayam = this.

Vrunoparah = vruno + aparah.     Vruno = a boil,  wound

Aparah = another.      Satyah =  true, truth        Pravaado =

rumour, false accusation.    Yacchidreshvanarthaa =  yat+

chidreshu +anarthaa,     Yat = that.     Chidreshu = faults,

weak points, holes.    Anarthaa =  harmful.       Yaanti =

happen.    Bhooritaam = multitude of.

i,e,      Just as in spite of making strenuous efforts for not

allowing a boil to grow in one's body , many more boils

erupt, it is also true that in the same manner the confusion

generated  by a false  accusation or a rumour , creates  a 

multitudes of rumours, which is disastrous.
