आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

औषधानि  च  मन्त्राणि  नक्षत्रं  शकुनं  ग्रहाः |
भाग्यकाले प्रसन्नाः स्फुरभाग्ये निष्फलाश्च ते || - महासुभषितसंग्रह(८२५९)

भावार्थ -     औषधियां , मन्त्र, नक्षत्र और  ग्रह (ज्योतिष की भविष्यवाणियां ),
तथा शकुन (किसी शुभ घटना के होने के संकेत) उसी समय फलीभूत होते हैं
जब कि  भाग्य अनुकूल होता है  और जब् भाग्य प्रतिकूल होता है तो ये सभी
निष्फल (प्रभाव हीन ) हो जाते  हैं |

Aushadhaani cha mantraani nakshatrm shakunam grahaah.
Bhaagyakale prasannah sphurbhaagye nishphalaashcha tey.

Aushadhaani = medicines.   Cha = and     Mantraani = mystical
verses (formulas).        Nakshatram = constellation of stars.
Shakunam=omens,   Grahaah= various Planets.   Bhaagyakaale=
a time when a person is passing through a lucky period.
Prasanna = pleasing, glad.   Sphurbhaagye = sphur +bhaagye.
Sphur = destroyed, against.    Bhaagye = destiny.  Nishphalaah+
cha .    Nishphalaah =   without any result, fruitless.  Cha = and
Tey =  these.

i.e.    Medicines, mystical verses,  predictions based on the
movement of stars and planets in astrology, and auspicious omens.
materialize and give happiness, when the destiny of the person
concerned is in his favour.   And if his destiny is against him, all
these become  ineffective.
