आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

राजानं  प्रथमं  विन्देत्ततो  भार्या  ततो  धनम्  |
राजन्यसति  लोकेSस्मिन्कुतो भार्या कुतो धनम्  ||
                                   -सुभाषित रत्नाकर (स्फुट)
भावार्थ -   एक नागरिक को सर्व प्रथम राजा (शासक) का सम्मान
करते हुए उसकी आज्ञा का पालन  करना चाहिये | तत्पश्चात अपनी
पत्नी (परिवार )का  पोषण  करते हुए धनार्जन करना चाहिये |  यदि
राज्य में एक आदर्श राजा (शासक) न हो तो फिर न  तो पत्नी (परिवार)
रहेगी और न  धनार्जन ही  सम्भव  होगा  |

(संस्कृत में एक उक्ति है कि -'राजा कालस्य कारणम्' , अर्थात किसी
देश या समाज में अच्छी और बुरी घटनाओं का राजा एक प्रमुख कारक
होता है |  द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध और वर्तमान मे ईराक और  सीरिया का
गृहयुद्ध इसके ज्वलन्त उदाहरण हैं |    इसी तथ्य को इस सुभाषित में
व्यक्त किया गया है  | )

Raajaanam prathamam vindettato bhaaryaa tato dhanam.
Rajanyasati lokesminkuto bhaaryaa kuto dhanam.

Raajaanam =   Kings. (now a days the Rulers of a country)
Prathamam =   initially, at the outset.   Vindettato = vindet +
tato.    Vindet = should attend to.     Tato = thereafter.
Bhaaryaa = wife (representing the family.)  Dhanam = wealth.
Rajanyasati= Raaja +  nyasati.     Raaja =  King, chief.
Nyasati = resigns.   Lokesminkuto = loke + asmin+ kuto.
Loke = in social life,    Asmin = in this.   Kuto = from
where.    Dhanam = wealth.

i.e.     At the outset a citizen should respect and obey his King
(or the Ruler  of the country ) and only thereafter take care of
his wife( family) and thereafter  strive to acquire wealth.  If
there is no competent and virtuous King ( or Ruler) in the
Kingdom, neither there will be a family life nor any acquisition
of wealth.

(In Sanskrit it is a saying that a King  is the main cause of the
prosperity or otherwise of a Country . This is apparent if we
consider the background of the second World War and the present
happenings in Iraq and Syria.  This very fact has been highlighted
in the above Subhashita.)
