To day's Subhashit

क्षान्ति  तुल्यं  तपो  नास्ति  न  तोषात्परमं  सुखं
नाSस्ति तृष्णापरो व्याधिर्न  च  धर्मो  दयापरः

Kshanti tulyam tapo naasti na toshaatparamam sukham
naasti trushnaaparo vyadhirna  cha dharmo dayaparah.

i.e. there is no 'Tapa' like forgiveness and no happiness of highest order other than being satisfied at whatever one possesses.There is no illness greater than having 'trushnaa' and no religious act greater than being kind to every body.

Tapa =  A process of willingly subjecting one self to rigorous discipline and renouncing luxuries of life to achieve other higher objectives like helping mankind, communion with God etc.
Kshanti = to forgive
 Santosh (tosh) = a state of mind when a person is happy at whatever he has got and does not crave for more.
Trushna = insatiable desire to have more and more amenities and possessions
