इयमुन्नतसत्यशालिनी महतां काSपि कठोरचित्तता .
उपकृत्य भवन्ति दूरतः परतः प्रत्युपकार शङ्कायाः
Iyamunnatsatyashaalini mahtaam kaapi kathorchittataa.
Upakrutya bhawanti dooratah partah pratyupakaar shankaayah.
i.e. Noble and truthful persons do not have any feeling of rudeness in them, but after helping others they become aloof and indifferent to avoid the gratitude anticipated from the person helped by them.
Iyam =this. Unnat = noble, great. Satyashaalani = truthful . Mahtaam = great persons.
Kaapi = any, where is ? Kathora =rude. Chittataa = feeling. Upakrutya = helped, assisted.
Bhawanti = become. Dooratah = aloof, keep a distance. Paratah = indifferent.
Pratyupakaar = gratitude. Shankaaya = suspecting, anticipating.
(The author emphasises that charitable work should be done without any pomp and show. In Hindu Religion it is ordained that 'Daan' i.e.charity should be done without any show and in a clandestine manner. So, righteous persons always follow this dictum.)
