To day's Subhashit.

किं कुलेन विशालेन विद्याहीनस्य देहिनः  |
अकुलीनोपि विद्यावान्देवैरपि  स पूज्यते ||

Kim kulen vishaalen vidyaaheenasya dehinah.
Akuleenopi vidyaavaandevairapi sa poojyate.

Kim = what.     Kulen =by a clan or fsamily.    Vishaalen = being illustrious  or very big.
Vidyaa = knowledge, scholarship.   Heena = bereft or deprived of,       Dehinah = having been born.
Akuleenopi = akuleen + api/      Akuleen = a person who does not belong to an illustrious family.
api = even .      Vidyaavaan = a learned person.    Daivairapi =(daivai  +api) even as Gods.
Sa = that person.      Poojyate = honoured,, worshipped.

i.e.       It is of no use to be born in an illustrious family if such a person is bereft of knowledge and scholarship, whereas on  the other hand  a person, even if he may  be born  in an ordinary family , is  worshipped like a God.if he is a scholar
.
(Through this Subhashit the author has emphasised the importance of acquiring 'Vidyaa'.)
