( In Hindu Religion the life span of a person is divided into four orders namely Brahmacharyaashram, Grahasthaashram, Vanaprastha and Sanyaas, each order being of 25 years. The first order is assigned for education, the second one for getting married and raising a family, the third one for selfless service to the society and the last one for renouncing the worldly life and doing meditation. In this Subhashit all the pre-requisites for a successful and comfortable family life have been beautifully outlined by the author.).

Hi Mohan,
ReplyDeleteCan you plz suggest the title of book/kavya/stotra/literature having above subhashitam

As mentioned by me in my preface of the blogs, most of the Subhashitas posted by me are from a book named 'Subhashita Ratnakar published in the year 1888. That book may not be available now,]. The name of the publisher was Gopal Narayan Company bookselllers. You can findmany collections of Subhashitas from renowned Booksellers. From 'google search' you can get a collectioo of 10000 subhashitas in Wikibooks - 'महासुभषितसंग्रह' from where I am now a days selecting subhashitas and h=then translating them in Hindi and english for the benefit of people not knowing Sanskrit. There is another webside :महासुभषित रत्नभान्दागर; from where also you can get subhashitas. Please subscribe to my Blog on facebook titled 'Sanskrit Subhashits: and you will get daily a nrew Subhashita. Thanks for showing interest in Sanskrit,Yours sincerely, M.C.Joshi
