To day's Subhashit.

जयन्ति ते सुकृतिनो रससिद्धाः कवीश्वरा :  |
 नास्ति येषां यशः काये जरामरणजं भयम्  ||

Jayanti te sukrutinoo rasasiddhah kaveeshwaraah.
Naasti yeshaam yashh kaaye jaraamaranajam bhayam.

Jayanti = victorious, honoured.      Te = those, they.       Sukritino = virtuous, wise
Rasasiddha =  well versed in the art of writing poetry.      Kaveeshwarah = kavi + Eeshwar.
Kavi = poet.      Eeshwar = foremost,  leader.      Naasti = na + asti .   Naasti = does not have.
Yeshaam = those.      Yash = fame.      Kaye = body.      Jaraa = old age.   Maranam = death.
Bhayam = fear.

i.e      Only those poets who are virtuous and are well versed in the art of writing poetry and who do not crave  for  becoming famous and are not afraid of old age and death, are honoured as foremost among  poets .
