To day's Subhashit.

गुणिनां  निर्गुणानां   च दृश्यते  महदन्तरं |
हारं कण्ठगतः  स्त्रीणाम् नूपुराणि च पादयोः ||

Guninaam nirgunanaam cha drashyate mahadantaram.
Haaram Kanthgatah streenaam noopuraani cha paadayoh.

Guninaam = virtuous and learned persons.     Nirgunaanaam = persons without any virtues.
Cha = and.      Drushyate = seen,  observed.     Mahadantaram = Mahat + antaram'
Matat = large, great.     Antaram =  difference.      Haaram = a necklace., generally made of Gold and studded with precious stones.    Kanthgatah = Kanth + gatah.       Kanth  =neck       Gatah = gone,, placed on.    Kanthgatah = placed on the neck.     Streenaam = women,   Noopuraani =  Noopur is an ornament made of silver of the shape of a broad chain with trinkets attached to it, worn on the ankles by ladies.The trinkets produce a sweet sound during the process of walking by the ladies.
Paadayoh = the foot..

i.e.    Too much difference is visible between virtuous and learned persons and those who are bereft of those qualities.  For example, a necklace adorns the necks of  beautiful  women , whereas a 'noopur'  is worn on the ankles of the feet.
