To day's Subhashit.

वंशभवो गुणवानपि संगविशेषेण पूज्यते पुरुषः
नहि तुम्बीफ़ल् विकलो वीणा दण्डः प्रयाति महिमानम्

Vanshabhavo Gunwaanapi Sanga Visheshen Poojyate Purushah.
Na hi Tumbiphal vikalo Veena dandah Prayaati Mahimaanam.

Vanshabhavo =  descended from a noble race. Made of bamboo.   Gunavaanapi = Gunvaan + api.
Gunavaan = talented, virtuous.    Api = even.    Sang =association with, accompanying.    Visheshen = special.
Poojyate = honoured, venerated.     Purushh =person.     Nahi =by no means.    Tumbiphal = a variety of a gourd, whose shell is used for making instruments like Veen, sitar and Taanpura as a sound chamber.
Vikalo = deprived of crippled, impaired.     Veena = an ancient stringed musical instrument.
Dandh = the staff of a veena over which metal strings are stretched over the frets attached.
Prayaati = gets into a desired state or condition.   Mahimaanam = glory, greatness, majesty.

i.e.     Even if born in a well-known family and being talented and virtuous , a person gets recognition and is honoured and appreciated only when he is in the special company of illustrious persons e.g.the finger board of a Veena remains impaired and incomplete and is unable to produce the desired musical sound unless it is in the company of two gourds at it's both ends.
(Two gourds are fixed at both the ends of 'Daand'  (finger board) of  a veena or sitar to provide resonance, without which the instrument will not produce the desired musical sound.)
