To day's Subhashit.

यत्र विद्वज्जनो नाSस्ति श्ल्याघ्यस्तत्राSल्पधीरपि  |
निरस्तपादपे   देश  एरण्डोSपि   द्रुमायते    ||

Yatra vidvajjano naasti shlaaghyasatraalpadheerapi.
Nirastpaadape desh erandopi drumaayate.

Yatra = where.   Vidvajjano = Scholars       Naasti = na + asti.     Na = not    Asti = exist.
Shlaaghyastatraalpadheerapi =Shlyaaghya + tatra +alpa + dhee + api.     Shlyaaghya  = laudable.
Tatra = there.    Alpa = small, very little.     Dhee =  intelligence.     Api = even.
Nirasta = rejected, destroyed.   Padape = trees.     Desh = a country.    Eranda = a wild cotton plant.
Drumaayate = passed for or treated as a tree.

i.e.          In an assembly of people where  scholars and learned persons are not present, even persons of  low intelligence are lauded as learned persons,  just like in an arid country not having any trees a small 'Erand' bush is glorified as a tree.
