To day's Subhashit.

गजभुजङ्गयोरपि   बन्धनं   शशिदिवाकरयोर्ग्रहपीडनम्           |
मतिमतां च विलोक्य दरिद्रतां विधिरहो बलवानिति मे मतिः ||

Gajabhujangyorapi bandhanam shashidivaakarayorgrahapeedanam.
Matimataam cha vilikya daridrataam vidhiraho balavaaniti me matih.

Gajabhujangayorapi = Gaj + bhujangyo+api.    Gaj = an elephant,   Bhujang= a snake.    Api= even.
Bandhanam = in captivity, bondage.     Shashi = the Moon.     Divaakara = the Sun.
Grahapeedanam = eclipse of Sun and Moon.     Matimataam = wise and intelligent persons.   Cha = also
Vilokya.= seen, observed.    Daridrataam =state of penury, poverty.     Vidhiraho =vidhi +aho.
Vidhi = destiny.      Aho = Oh !      Balavaaniti = balavaan+iti.      Balvaan = strong, powerful.
Iti = so.     Me = to me, for me.     Matih = belief, intuition, opinion.

i.e.       Even elephants and snakes, (who are so powerful and dangerous) have to remain in captivity and the Moon and Sun have to face the ignominy of an eclipse. Oh !  when I see wise and intelligent persons facing penury, then I am compelled to believe that it is the destiny that is most powerful and not the capability and the strength of individuals in shaping their lives.
