To day's Subhashita.

सुजनाः परोपकारं शूराः शस्त्रं धनं कृपणाः  |
कुलवत्यो मन्दाक्षं प्राणात्यय एव मुञ्चति  ||

Sujanaah paropakaaram shooraah shastram dhanam krupanaah.
Kulavatyo mandaaksham praanaatyaya eva munchati.

Sujanaah = noble and righteous persons.    Paropakaar = charity,helping others.    Shooraah=warriors, brave men.     Shastram = weapons.    Dhanam = wealth, money.
Krupanaah = misers.     Kulavatyo = persons belonging to a noble family.
Mandaaksh = bashfulness.    Praanaatyaya = praana +atyaya.   Praana = life.
Atyaya = danger, threat.    Prasnaatyaya = grave danger to life.   eva = already.
Munchati = give up.

i.e.        Even on the face of a threat to life, noble and righteous persons do not give up their spirit of charity and helping othners,  warriors their weapons, misers their wealth and persons belonging to a noble family their bashfulness.
