Today's Subhashita.

Avineetasya yaa vidyaa saa chiram naiva tishthati.
markatasya gale baddhaa maneenaam maalikaa yathaa.

Avineetasya = an ill-mannered person's      Yaa = whatsoever.    Vidyaa = knowledge, learning.
Saa = that.   Chiram = long time.  Naiva = not.   Tishthati =  stays, remains.     Markatasya = a monkey's
Gale = neck.   Baddhaa =chained, tied.      Maneenaam = precious stones.     Maalikaa = garland.
Yathaa = for instance, like that of.

i.e.     The knowledge and learning acquired by an ill-mannered persons does not stays with him for a long time, just like a garland (necklace) studded with precious stones around the neck of a monkey ( which the
monkey will sooner or later break into pieces,totally unaware of the value of the garland).
