Today's Subhashita.

Anavyaye vyayam yaati vyayam yaati suvistrutim.
Apoorvastava koshoyam kidyaakisheshu bhaarati.

Anavyaya =  by not spending.   Vyayam = spending, dissipation, loss.    Yaati = becomes.
Suvistriti = gets widespread and further developed.    Apoorvastava = apoorvah +tava.
Apoorvah = unique, novel.       Tava = yours.        Koshoyam = kosho +ayam .
Kosho = treasure.  Ayam = this one.      Vidyaakosheshu = treasure houses of Knowledge.
Bhaarati = Knowledge and learning personified as Goddess Sarasvati.

O Goddess Sarasvati !   your treasure house of knowledge is unique in all respects. If not spent (knowledge not imparted to others) it tends to get lost,but the more it is spent (knowledge imparted to others) it tends to become  widespread and further developed.

(Imparting knowledge to others is considered the best form of charity in Hindu Religion and literature.  In doing so not only the receiver becomes enriched throughout his lifetime,the giver also gets enriched by doing so, as the level of his knowledge also increases and knowledge spreads and develops further.  This aspect has been beautifully outlined in the above Subhashita. )
