Today's Subhashita.

Aaturo niyamo naasti baale vruddhe tathaiva cha.
Paraachaara rate chaiva esha dharmah sanaatanah.

Aaturo = a sick or suffering person.    Niyamo = rules for observance.
Naasti = non existent.     Bale = infants.      Vruddhe = aged persons.
Tathaiva = similarly.      Cha = and.      Paraachaara = para + aachaar.
Para = others.     Aachaar= good conduct.     Rate = fond of, devoted to.
Aiva =  as also     Esha = this.        Dharmah = religion.     Sanatanah =
eternal, perpetual.    Sanaatana Dharma =  religion of Hindus,

i.e.        Observance of the rules of  conduct is not a binding in the case
of sick and suffering persons, infants and aged persons, as also on those
persons who are committed (take pleasure) in helping the aforesaid types
of persons.   This, in short, is the essence of the Sanatana Dharma (the
religion practised by Hindus) .
