Today's Subhashita.

सामर्थ्यमूलं स्वात्रन्त्र्यं श्रममूलं  च वैभवम्  |
न्यायमूलं  स्वराज्यं स्यात् संघमूलं महाबलं ||

अर्थ -      स्वतन्त्रता की प्राप्ति (और उसकी रक्षा) केवल शक्ति और सामर्थ्य
होने   से ही होती है और वैभव (धन संपत्ति और सर्वत्र खुशहाली ) भी श्रम करने
से ही मिलती है |   स्वराज्य का मूल कारण अच्छी न्यायव्यस्था का होना तथा
किसी देश के अत्यन्त  शक्तिशाली होने का मूल कारण उसके लोगों मे एकता
और संगठन  की  भावना  का होना है |
( एक अन्य आप्त वचन में कहा गया है कि  'संघौ शक्ति:  कलौयुगे '  अर्थात
कलियुग में एकता और संगठन ही शक्ति का पर्याय है |)

Saamarthyamoolam svaatantryam shramamoolyam cha vaibhavam.
Nyaayamoolam   svaraajyam syaat snaghmoolam mahaabalam.

Saamarthya = power, efficiency.     Moolam = cause.      Svaatrantryam =
freedom, independence.      Shrama = efforts, labour.    Cha = and.    
Vaibhabhavam = grandeur,  prosperity.    Nyaaya= justice.    Svaraajyam =
independent dominion, self rule.    Syaat = it   may be,  happens.  Sangha=
a group. close association among people.   Mahabalam = very powerful.

i.e.     The root cause of enjoying freedom is having power and efficiency,
doing hard labour with efficiency is behind prosperity everywhere.
Independence and self rule is possible only by having an efficient and
impartial judiciary, and unity and close association among people of a
country is the root cause of it becoming a super power.

(In another Subhashita it is said that -'Sanghau shaktih kalauyuge'  i.e.
in Kaliyuga (the present period ) only the unity among the people of a
country is its real Power.)
