Today's Subhashita.

उपचरितव्याः  सन्तो  यद्यपि कथयन्ति नैकमुपदेशम्  |
यास्तेषां  स्वैरकथास्ता  एव  भवन्ति  शास्त्राणि            || - सुभाषितरत्नाकर

अर्थ -     संतों  की सेवा सुश्रूषा करने के  दौरान चाहे वे एक भी उपदेश न  दें ,
उनके द्वारा बिना कोई आदेश दिये हुए  कही हुई अन्य बातें  भी धर्म शास्त्रों
में वर्णित उपदेशों के समान ही हितकारी होती  हैं |

Upachaeitavyaa  santo  yadyapi kathayanti  naikamupadesham.
Yaasteshaam svairakathaastaa  eva bhavanti shaastraani.

Upacharitavyaa = by serving      Santo = noble persons,saints.    Yadyapi =
although.    Kathayanti = say.      Naikamupadesham = na +eka+ upadesham.
Na = not.         Eka = one.          Upadesham =  advice,  guidance.
Yaasteshaam = yaah +teshaam.     Yahh = whosoever.      Teshaam = their.
Svairakathaastaa = Svasirkathaa +taa.        Svairakathaa =  unconstrained or
unreserved conversation.    Taa = that ,they.   Aiva = also.   Bhavanti = become,  
Shaastraani =  scriptures.scientific treatises.

i.e.       During the course of serving the  Sanits (noble and righteous persons),
they may not give even a single advice or any guidance, but their unconstrained
(casual  and frank ) talk also becomes like the commandments of the Scriptures..
