Today's Subhashita.

आत्मानं प्रथमं  राजा विनयेनोपपादयेत्   |
ततोSमात्यांस्ततो भृत्यांस्ततो  पुत्रांस्ततो प्रजाः || - महासुभषितसंग्रह

अर्थ -       हमें सर्वप्रथंम  अपने देश के राजा (शासक) के प्रति विनम्रता
की भावना रखनी   चाहिये और उसके बाद  राजकीय कर्मचारियों और
अपने निकट संबन्धियों  के प्रति और फिर अपने नौकरों  और अपनी
संतान  के प्रति और अन्ततः जनता के प्रति भी    वही भावना  रखनी
चाहिये |

Aatmaanam  prathamam Raajaa vinayenopapaadayet.
Tatomaatyaamstato  bhrutyaamstato putraamstato prajaah.

Aatmaanam = thyself.      Prathamam =  initially,  at first.  
Raajaa = a King or a Ruler.    Vinayenop[apaadayet =vinayena +
upapaadayet.     Vinayena = through humility.  Upapaadayet =
accomplish, treat.   Tatomaatyaamstato = tato +amaatyaam +tato.  
Tato = thereafter.     Amaatyaam = inmates of the same house,
ministers, government servants..  Bhrutyaamstato = Bhruttyaam +
tato.   Bhrutyaam = servants.     Putraamstato = putraam + tato.  
Putraam = sons.      Prajaa =citizens of a country.

i.e.     We should  initially treat our King (or the Ruler) with humility
and thereafter the  government servants and our close relatives,
Thereafter we should treat similarly our servants and  our own
children. and lastly the  citizens of the country.
