Today's Subhashita.

मनसा चिन्तितं कर्मं वचसा  न प्रकाशयेत् |
अन्यलक्षित कार्यस्य यतः सिद्धिर्न जायते  ||

भावार्थ -   यदि तुमने  किसी कार्य को करने का निश्चय (अपने
मन मे विचार)किया है तो उस विचार को स्वयं अपने मुख  से
अन्य व्यक्तियों को  नहीं बताना  चाहिये, क्योंकि अन्य व्यक्तियों
द्वारा ज्ञात और दृष्ट ऐसे  कार्य  सफळ नहीं  हो पाते हैं |

(इस सुभाषित में व्यक्त विचार का महत्त्व वर्तमान अर्थव्यवस्था में
बहुत अधिक हो गया है |यदि  नये विचारों और खोजों की जानकारी
समय से पूर्व ही प्रतिद्वन्दियों को हो  जाती है तो आर्थिक हानि के
अतिरिक्त वह् विवादों को भी जन्म देती है और परिणाम स्वरूप
ऐसी योजनायें  असफल हो जाती  हैं  |)

Manasaa chintitam karmm vachasaa  na prakaashayet.
Anyalakshit kaaryasya yatah siddhirna jaayate.i.e.

Manaasa = in the mind.    Chintitam = thought or imagined.
Karmam = work,    Vachasaa = verbally.     Na = not.
Prakaashayet = make known, announce.   Anya = others.
Lakshit = observed.   Kaaryasya= work's.  Yatah = because
Siddhirna = siddhih: + na      siddhih = success in an
endeavour.     Jaayate = happens.

i.e.     If you have conceived in your mind  a new project for
implementation,you should  never disclose it verbally  to others,
because  such project in  the knowledge and observance of others
is never successfully implemented.

(The thought expressed in the aboce Subhashita is all the more
important under the present economic conditions, where the
knowledge about new ideas and inventions is kept as a closely
guarded secret and if leaked result into controversies as also
financial loss.)
