Today's Subhashita.

इन्द्रियाणां निरोधेण  रागद्वेषक्षयेण  च  |
अहिंसया च  भूतानां अमृतत्वाय  कल्पते || -महासुभषितसंग्रह 

भावार्थ  -   अपनी इन्द्रियों के ऊपर पूर्ण नियन्त्रण, राग (किसी
वस्तु को पाने की अत्यधिक इच्छा ) और द्वेष (दूसरों के प्रति बुरी
भावना ) का न  होना , तथा सभी प्राणियों के प्रति अहिंसा की
भावना, इन सभी का अनुपालन करने से मनुष्य को अमृतत्व
(जीवन और मृत्यु के चक्र से मुक्ति  अर्थात स्वर्ग ) की प्राप्ति  हो
जाती है  |

Indriyaanaam nirodhena ragadveshakshayena cha.
Ahimsayaa cha bhootaanaam marutatayaaya kalpatate.

Indriyaanaam = the ten organs of senses.   Nirodhena = by
putting restraint on.    Raga+ dvesha + kshayena.    Raaga =
vehement desire or longing for any thing.   Dvesha = enmity,
dislike, hatred.    Kshayena = decay, decrease of.   Cha = and.
Ahimsayaa = by non-violence or harmlessness.  Bhootaanaam =
Living beings.     Amrutatvaaya =  final emancipation, heaven    
Kalpate  =  occurs, happens

i.e.       By putting restraint  over the  sensory organs, and by
giving up the vehement desire to possess every thing and enmity
towards others, and observing non-violence towards all living
beings, one can attain final emancipation (freedom from the cycle
of birth and death )
