Today's Subhashita.

Ekamapyaksharam yastu guruh shishyam prabodhayet.
Pruthivyaam naasti taddruvyam yaddatvaa sonrunee bhavet.

Ekamapyaksharam = ekam +api+ aksharam.    Ekam = one.
Api = even     Aksharam = a word,      Guruh = a teacher.
Shishyam = student, pupil.         Prabodhayet = teaches .
Pruthivyaam = in this World.          Naasti = does not exist.
Taddruvyam = tat + druvyam.     Tat = that    Dravya =thing,
object, wealth.    Yaddatvaa = yat + datvaa.    Yat =  that.
Datvaa = by giving.     Sonrunee = so + anrunee,    So = he,
the student.      Anrunee = free from debt or any obligation.
Bhavet = can become.

i.e.     Even if a single word is taught to  a pupil by a teacher,
there  does  not exist  in this world any thing  or wealth  by
offering which to his teacher the pupil can become free from
the debt or obligation of the teacher .

(In the Sanatana Dharma of Hindus the Guru has been revered
equal to the God Almighty and his position is considered even
higher  than the King for  the services rendered by  him  to the
society in educating the people.  This Subhashita extolls  this
service of the Guru by the use of a hyperbole .)
