आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita,

कालेन  रिपुणा  संधिः काले  मित्रेण  विग्रहः |
कार्यकारणमाश्रित्य  कालं  क्षिपति  पण्डितः || - महासुभषितसंग्रह (9876)

भावार्थ -   समय और परिस्थितियों  के कारण ही शत्रुओं के बीच में संधि
(समझौता) हो जाती है तथा उसी प्रकार  मित्रों के बीच में भी झगडा  और
शत्रुता  हो जाती  है |  इसी लिये विद्वान व्यक्ति परिस्थितियों के अनुसार
ही  उस समय को व्यतीत होने देते हैं (और अच्छे समय की प्रतीक्षा करते
हैं) |

Kaalena = in the course of time.    Ripunaa = among the enemies.
Sandhih =truce between, alliance.    Kaale = sometimes.    Mitrena=
among friends.  Vigrahah = quarrel, enmity.   Kaaryakaaranamaashritya=
kaaryakaananam =  a particular cause. .      Ashritya = having
recourse to.     Kaalam=time.   Kshipati = get rid of, skip or paass over.
Panditah = a learned and wise person.

i.e.     during the course of time and depending on the circumstances there
is truce between the enemies, and in the same manner there is enmity ans
quarrel between friends.  Therefore wise and learned persons hoping
for a better future allow such times to pass over.
