आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

उत्साहसंपन्नमदीर्घसूत्रं   क्रियाविधिज्ञं  व्यसनेश्वसक्तम्  |
शूरं  कृतज्ञं  दृढ  सौहृदं  च  लक्ष्मी  स्वयं याति निवासहेतोः ||
                                                            -सुभाषित रत्नाकर

भावार्थ  -  उत्साह से भरपूर, कार्य संपन्न करने में विलम्ब न
करने वाला,  व्यापार करने  में विशेष  कुशल, व्यसन रहित,
शूर, कृतज्ञ , दृढ निश्चयी, मित्रता पूर्ण व्यवहार , इन गुणों से
युक्त व्यक्ति के पास धन की अधिष्ठात्री देवी लक्ष्मी स्वयं
 निवास करने के लिये चली आती है |

(लाक्षणिक रूप से इस सुभाषित द्वारा यह  प्रतिपादित किया गया
है कि जीवन में धनवान और सफल  होने के लिये  मनुष्य में उपर्युक्त
गुणों का होनाआवश्यक है | )

Utsaaha-sampannam-adeerghasootram  kriyaavidhigyam
vyasaneshvasaktam.
Shooram  krutagyam drudha  sauhrudam cha Lakshmi
svyam yaati nivaasa-hetoh.

Utsaaha = enthusaiams.  Sampannam = endowed with, full of.
Adeerghasootra = not slow, prompt.         Kriyaavidhigya =
well conversant with business.          Vyasaneshvasaktam =
vyasaneshu + asaktam.  Vyasaneshu = bad habits.  Ashaktam =
incaapable,     Shooram = brave.   Krutagyam =  grateful.
Drudha = firm.     Sauhrudam = friendship.      Cha = and.
Lakshmi = name of the Goddess of Wealth as per Hindu
mythology.   Svyam = of one's  own accord.   Yaati = goes.
Nivaasa = abode, residence.    hetoh = for the purpose of.

i.e.     If a person is endowed with enthusiasm, promptness,
expertise in doing business, freedom from bad habits, brave,
grateful, firm in his dealings, and  friendly behaviour,  then
Mahalakshmi, the goddess incarnate of wealth herself goes
to reside in the residence of such a person.

qualities at a person must have to be rich and successful .)
