आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

आकाशमुत्पततु  गच्छतु  वा  दिगन्त-
मम्बोनिधिं  विशतु तिष्ठतु  वा  यथेच्छम्   |
जन्मान्तरा S र्जितशुभाSशुभकृन्नराणां
छायेव  न  त्यजति  कर्मफलाSनुबन्धः      ||  -सुभाषित रत्नाकर

भावार्थ -   मनुष्य चाहे आकाश  में  उडे , सुदूर प्रदेशों में विचरण
करे,  समुद्र मे प्रवेश करे , अथवा जहां उसकी इच्छा हो वहां निवास
करे , उस के द्वारा इस जन्म में या पूर्व जन्मों में किये गये शुभ और
अशुभ कर्मों के फल एक छाया की तरह उसका साथ नहीं छोडते हैं |

(भारतीय सनातन धर्म की मान्यता है कि  मनुष्य के द्वारा इस  जन्म
में या पूर्व जन्मों में किये गये शुभ या अशुभ कर्मों का फल उसे अवश्य
भोगना पडता है और वे छाया की तरह उसका साथ कभी नहीं छोडते हैं |
इस सुभाषित में इसी  भावना को  व्यक्त किया गया है | )

Aakaashamutpatatu  gacchatu  vaa  diganta-
mambhonidhim  vishatu  tishthatu vaa yathecham.
Janmaantara-arjita -shubha-ashubha-krunnaranaam.
Chaayeva  na  tyajati  karmaphalaanubandhah.

Aakaashamutpatatu =aakaasham + utpatatu.    Aakasham = sky.
Utpatatu = fly upwards.      Gacchatu = go.       Vaa = or.
Digantam = end of horizon, another far away region.
Ambhonidhim =  the Ocean.    Vishatu = enter into..  Tishthatu=
stay.   Yatheccham = at will or pleasure.    Janmaantara = another
birth or life.   Arjit = acquired.  Shubha = auspicious.    Ashubha=
inauspicious., evil, bad .    kruta = done.   Naraanaam = people.
Chaayeva = like a shadow.      Na = not.       Tyajati = quits.
karmaphalaanubandhah = karmaphalaa + anubandhah. 
Karmaphalaa = fruit or recompense of actions, both good and bad.
Anubandhah =  result, consequence.

i.e.      A person may  fly upwards in the sky,  roan in distant lands,
enter into the Ocean, or stay in places of his choice,  the consequences
of good and bad deeds done by him during his present life time or
his previous births, do not quit him and follow him like his shadow
where he goes.

(According to 'Sanaatan Dharma'  of Hindus it is believed that a person
has to face the consequences of good or bad deeds called 'Punya' and
'Paap' done by him during his lifetime or during his previous births, and
these follow him like his shadow every where.  This the idea behind the
above Subhashita.)
