आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.

स्वप्नेSपि  मास्तु  कस्यापि  दुर्जनस्य  समागमः |
यस्मात्कुजस्य  संसर्गाद्वैरं  बुधसुधाभृतोः          ||
                                 -सुभाषित रत्नाकर ( स्फुट )

भावार्थ -    लोगों को सपने में भी दुर्जन व्यक्तियों के साथ मित्रता
या सहयोग नहीं करना चाहिये |  देखो न , मंगल ग्रह के संसर्ग में
रहने पर चन्द्रमा और बुध ग्रहों के बीच  में भी वैर हो जाता है |

(इस सुभाषित में जो उपमा दी गयी है वह ज्योतिष शास्त्र  के ऊपर
आधारित है |  चन्द्रमा और बुध शुभ ग्रह माने जाते हैं जब् कि मंगल
को एक अशुभ ग्रह माना जाता है |  यदि किसी व्यक्ति की जन्म कुण्डली
में चन्द्रमा और बुध के साथ मंगल  किसी भाव में एक साथ स्थित होते हैं
तो मंगल से उनकी युति  अशुभ फलदायी मानी जाती है | वैसे चन्द्रमा बुध
से मित्रवत व्यवहार करता है,पर बुध चन्द्रमा से शत्रुवत् व्यवहार करता है |)

Svapnepi  maastu  kasyaapi  durjanasya samaagamah.
Yasmaatkujasya  smsargaadvairam  budhasudhaabhrudhoh.

Svapnepi = even in a dream.   Maastu = Maa +astu.   Maastu=
do not.       Kasyaapi =  even with.   Durjanasya = a wicked
person's .    Samaagamah = association with.  Yasmaat = as,
since.   Kujasya = of the planet Mars.   Sansargaat + vairam.
Sansargaat = combining with.    Varam = enmity.   Budha +
Sudhaabhrudhoh.    Budha = the planet Mercury.    Sudhaa +
Bhruto.    Sudhaa = Amruta, the nectar of Gods.   Bhruto =
carrier of.  (Reference to the Moon )

i.e.      One should not have any association with wicked persons
even in his dreams. Look, by being in conjunction with the planet
Mars, the planets Moon and Mercury also behave as malefic planets
and have enmity with each other .

(In the above Subhashita the simile given is based on Astrology.
According to it the Moon and Mercury both are  benefic planets
while Mars is a malefic planet.   However if Mars is in conjunction
with Moon and Mercury, the latter also  behave as malefic planets
and give bad results. So,  if the Moon, Mercury and Mars are together
in a house in the horoscope of a person, they produce bad results. )
