आज का सुभाषित / Today's Subhashita.


अमित्रं कुरुते मित्रं मित्रं द्वेष्टि हिनस्ति  च |
कर्म चारभते  दुष्टं  तमाहुर्मूढचेतसम्        ||
                                              -  विदुर नीति

भावार्थ  -   जो व्यक्ति  मित्र बनाने के लिये अयोग्य व्यक्ति
को अपना मित्र बनाता है तथा मित्र बनाने के के योग्य व्यक्तियों
से  द्वेष करता है  और ऐसे कर्म करता है जिस से उन  की  हानि
हो या उन का नाश हो जाय,  ऐसे व्यक्ति को मूर्ख कहा  जाता है |

Amitram  kurute mitram  mitram dveshti hinasti cha.
karma chaarabhate  dushtam tamaahurmoodhachetasam.

Amitram = not a friend.    Kurute =makes    Mitram =
a friend.   Dveshti = hates.    Hinasti = kills , harms.
Cha = and. =    Karma = deeds.       Cha + aarabhate .
Cha = and,    Arabhate = begins.    Dshtam=  wicked,
inimical.  Tam + aahuh +moodhachetasam.       Tam =
to them.   Aahuh =call    Moodhchetasam= foolish, Silly.

i.e.   A person who makes friendship with persons who are
not suitable for friendship and hates  those persons  who
are  most suitable for friendship, and  indulges in such
inimical activities against them which may harm or kill
them,  is called a foolish and silly persons.

    1. Yes I follow these subbashitams and work done here... Is it not a great idea to learn one Samskrita Subhashitam a day and also understand its English meaning? It just takes 5-7 mins per day but if you do this regularly the benefits are immense. Especially recommended for kids in age group of 4 to 16 but even adults can learn.
