To day's Subhashit.

विद्वत्तं  च नृपत्वं  च नैव तुल्यं कदाचन    |
स्वदेशे पूज्यते राजा विद्वान्सर्वत्र  पूज्यते ||

Vidwattam cha Nrupattwam cha naiwa tulyam kdaachana.
Swadeshe poojyate Raja Vidwaan sarvatra poojyate.

Vidvatwam = Scholars Nrapattwam + Kings, Rulers. Naiva = not at all, hardly. Tulyam = comparable, similar . Kadaachan = ever. Swadeshe = one's own country. Poojyate = reverred , worshipped. Raja = King Vidvaan = a learned person. Sarvatra = every where.

i.e. One should never compare a Scholar with a King, because a King is revered only in his kingdom, whereas a Scholar is revered every where.
