To day's Subhashit.

परोक्षे कार्यहन्तारं  प्रत्यक्षे प्रियवादिनम् |
वर्जयेत्तादृशं  मित्रं विषकुम्भं  पयोमुखम ||

Parokshe Kaarya Hantaaram Pratyakshe Priya Vaadinam
Varjayettadrisham Mitram Visha Kumbham Payo Mukham.

Parokshe = in one's absence.     Kaaryahantaaram = Kaarya+ hantaaram .    Kaarya = work, job.
Hantaaram = destroyer, spoiler.    Pratyakshe = before one's face.   Priya = favorable.
Vaadinam =saying.    Priyavaadinam = a flatterer.   Varjayettadrusham = varjayet+taadrusham.
Varjayet =give up, avoid.    Taadrusham = like that, whosoever.   Mitram = a friend.
Vishkumbham = Visha+kumbham.   Visha = poison.    Kumbham = jar, pitcher.
Payomukham = paya+mukham.    Paya =milk.   Mukham =face, surface.

i.e.    One should avoid and shun the friendship with persons who are flatterers and friendly before one's face  but spoiler of work in one's absence, because they  are like a pitcher filled with poison inside it but topped up on the surface  with milk.
