To day's Subhashit.

तृष्णे देवि नमस्तुभ्यं या त्वं सर्वस्य सर्वदा |
उत्पादयस्य यत्नेन गोपदे सागरभ्रमम्        ||

Trushne devi namastubhyam yaa tvam sarvasya sarvadaa.
Utpaadayasya yatnena gopade sagarabhramam.

Trushne devi = O Trushnaa devi !        Namastubhyam = namah + tubhyam.    Namah = salutations.
Tubhyam = to thee.     Yaa = an expression to implore.    Tvam = you.    Sarvasya= every thing, all these.
Sarvadaa = always, at all times      Utpaadayasya= Utpaada+yasya.      Utpaada = product, coming forth.
Yasya = whose.     Yatnena = efforts.     Gopade = a  mark or impression of cow's hoof on the clay, which
can store a small amount of water.       Saagarbhramam = Saagar + bhramam.    Saagar = ocean,sea.
Bhramam = illusion, confusion.

O Trushnaa Devi, my salutations to thee.  You are always omnipotent and omnipresent  and create with care such an illusion in the minds of persons that a small puddle of water over the impression of the hoof of a cow appears like an ocean to the beholder.

(Greed, another manifestation of 'trushnaa' is so intense that a person obsessed with it sees even a very small gain as a very big gain and does not hesitate to go to any extent to achieve it. This trait in such persons has been highlighted in the above Subhashit by giving the example of a 'gopad' like an ocean.
