Naastyanyaa trushnayaa tulyaa kvachidaasti nitambinee.
Yaa praanaanapi mushnanti bhavetyrkaadhikam priya
Naastanyaa = na+asti+ anya. Na = not. Asti = is. Anyaa =another. Trushnayaa = uncontrolled desire.
Tulya =comparable, equal to. Kvachidaasti = kvachid=asti. Kvachid =anywhere. asti = is, exists.
Nitambinee = a woman with handsome hips, a buxom beautiful woman. Yaa =who. Praanaanapi =
Praanaan +api. Pranaan = life, Api = even.. Mushnanti =captivates, destroys. Bhavatyekaadhikam = bhavati +eka+adhikam. Bhavati =becomes, happens. Ek = one. Adhik = more .
Ekaadhik = more than one i.e many. Priya = darling
i.e. There is no comparison between a beautiful buxom woman and 'Trushna', because the latter captivates and even causes death and is also the darling of numerous people.
('Trushna' is termed as feminine gender in Sanskrit and has, therefore, been compared with a buxom beautiful woman in this Subhashit. While a beautiful woman attracts numerous persons, so also 'trushna has the same effect on them, there is no comparison between the two, because 'trushnaa' not only captivates but even destroys the life of her victims.)
