To day's Subhashita.

जननी जन्मभूमिश्च जाह्न्वी च जनार्दनः  |
जनकः पञ्च्मश्चैव जकाराः पञ्च दुर्लभाः  ||

Jananee janmabhoomishcha jaahnavee cha jasnardanah.
Janakah panchmashchaiva jakaaraah panch durlabhaah.

Jananee = mother.    Janmabhoomishchaiva = Janmabhoomi +cha .   Janmabhoomi =motherland.   Cha = also.      Jaahnavee = sacred river Ganges (Ganga).  Janardana = God Visahnu, the seniormost among the three main Gods of Hindu religion namely Brahmaa,Vishnu and Mahesh.       Janakah = father.   Panchmashchaiva = panchamaih +cha+ iva.     Panchamaih  =  (these)five,    Iva = like.      Jakaaraah= letters beginning with the alphabet 'Ja'.       Pancha = five.
 Durlabha = rare, extraordinary.

i,e,       One's mother and father, motherland, sacred river Ganges and Supreme God Vishnu, all these five (their names starting with the letter "ja") are extraordinary and revered.
