Today's Subhashita. (discourse between Bheeshma and Yudhishthara about 'Rajdharma - (continued).

Saptaangasya = Sapta +angasya.    Savta = seven.    Angasya =departments.   Cha =and.
Raajyasya = of the Kingdom.    Vopareet =  contrary to, against the intersts of.     Aacjharet = acts.

Continuing his discourse with Yudhishthara, Bheeshma says -

"There are seven departments of a Kingdom, namely  the  Ruler (King) , Ministers,  Associastes (friends),
Treassury, the Country,  Forts ( defence equipments), and the Army.   Any body who acts contrary to the
interests of these departments of governance must be resisted or if need be even killed, even if he may be
a respected  teacher or a friend ."

(Through this Subhashita it has been emphasised that when the safety and security of a Country is at stake, there is no room for any mercy or showing kindness. Bheeshma advises that the king should not hesitate to take sternest action even against his teachers and friends, as an integral part of diplomacy.)
