Today's Subhashita.(Discourse between Bheeshma and Yudhishthara - continued).

Tasmaanneva mrudurnityam teekshno naiva bhavenrupahh.

Tasmaanmaiva = Tasmaan + aiva       Tasmaan  iva  = like that.     Mrudurnityam = mrudu +nityam..
Mrudu = gentle, soft.     Nityam = always, daily.     Teekshno = harsh, rude.    Naiva =not.
Bhavennrupah = bhavet+ nrupah.     Bhavet = become.    Nrupah + a king.    Vasantark = Vasant +Arka.
Vasant = spring season.     Arka = the Sun.    Iva = like, similar to.    Shreman = vibrant.    Na = not.
Sheeto = cold.,apathethic    Cha = also.     Dharmadah = granting virtues,very kind hearted.

Continuing his discourse, Bheeshma says to Yudhishthara -

Just as the Sun during the Spring Season makes the climate temperate i,e, neither too cold  nor too scorching, likewise  a King's behaviour with his subordinates should also be neither very gentle nor very rude
