Today's Subhashita.

अपूज्या यत्र  पूज्यन्ते पूज्यानां तु विमानना |
त्रीणि   तत्र  प्रवर्तन्ते  दुर्भिक्षं  मरणं  भयं    ||

अर्थ -    जिस देश या समाज में अपूज्य और नीच व्यक्तियों का सम्मान  होता है और पूजनीय  सम्माननीय व्यक्तियों का निरादार और अपमान होता है , वहां सदैव दुर्भिक्ष, मृत्यु तथा भय, ये  तीनों विपत्तियां छायी  रहती हैं|

Apoojyaa yatra poojyante poojyaanaam tu vimaananaa.
Treeni taatra pravartante durbhiksham maranam bhayam.

Apoojyaa = not to be revered or worshipped.     Yatra = where.      Poojyante =revered or worshipped.
Poojyaanaam =  persons eligible to be revered.   Tu = but.    Vimaananaa = humiliation, disrespect.
Treeni = (these) three.     Tatra = there.     Pravartante = prevail, occur.     Durbhiksham = famine.
Maranam = death, destruction.     Bhayam =  fear.

i.e.      In a Country or community where persons unfit for being revered are revered,and those who deserve to be revered are shown disrespect and humiliated,   these three scourges, namely famine, death and fear prevail.

(The truth behind the above Subhashita can be seen in many countries all around the World, where
there is total anarchy due to this very reason.)
