Today's Subhashita.

उत्सवे   व्यसने   प्राप्ते  दुर्भिक्षे  शत्रु   संकटे  |
राजद्वारे स्मशाने च यस्तिष्ठति स बान्धवः ||

अर्थ -       किसी उत्सव में  सहभागिता के अवसर पर या किसी व्यसन में संलिप्त होने के समय , या कोई वस्तु प्राप्त होने पर,  दुर्भिक्ष (अकाल) के दौरान/  और शत्रु द्वारा संकट उपस्थित होने पर,  तथा राजद्वार् (सरकारी कार्यालय तथा न्यायालय) में उपस्थिति के समय.  जो कोई  भी व्यक्ति तुम्हारा साथ देता है,  वह् तुम्हारे लिये एक मित्र, रिश्तेदार या  भाई के समान है |

Utsave vyasane praapte durbhikshe shatru samkate.
Raajadwaare smashaane cha yastishthati sa baandhavah.

Utsavae = during ceremonies or festive occasions.     Vyasane = disaster, bad habits like gambling etc.
Praapte = while gaining any thing.     Durbhikshe = famine.      Shatru = enemies.    Samkate = crisis, danger.
Rajadwaare = King's court or a Government's office or a Court of Justice.     Smashaane = burning ground, cemetery.    Cha = and.    Yastishthati = yahh +tishthaati.     Yahh = whosoever,    Tishthati =  stays .
Sa = he is /     Baandhavah = friend, brother, relation

i.e.      During a festive or a religious  ceremony,  while engaged in a bad habit (such as gambling, visiting a pub), when some thing is found in the company of another person(s) , at the time of a famine or  facing  danger from enemies,  while visiting a King's Court (Government's office or a Court of Law), . a burning ground or a cemetery for the dead,  whosoever stays with you on such occasions is like your close friend, brother or a relative.
