Today's Subhashita.

Kaswhchinmaalaasamam = Kashchid +maala +samam.     Kashchid = some one.   Malaa = a garland,
necklace, a  string of beads.   Samam = alike.      Mitram = a friend.    Tulaasamam = Tulaa +samam.
Tulaa = balance ( a pair of scales used for weighing a thing)     Merusamam =  like the sacred mountain called 'Meru' having five peaks, , eulogised in Hindu Mythology.    Maheesamam = mahee + samam.
Mahee = the Earth.

i.e.         Friendship with a person can either be very close  like a garland (string of pearls),  or very demanding and wavering  like the two panes of a weighing scale going up or down,  or of the highest order  like the sacred mountain Meru, or just   practical and need based  like living in this Earth.

(Through this Subhashita the author has  classified various types of friendships by using the similes of a garland, a weighing scale, a sacred mountain and the Earth.)
