Today's Subhashita.

कविं करोति पद्यानि लालयत्युत्तमो  जनाः |
तरुः प्रसूते पुष्पाणि मरुद्वहति सौरभम्       ||

अर्थ -          कवि गण सुन्दर भावपूर्ण कविताओं की रचना करते हैं और उन से श्रेष्ठ तथा काव्यानुरागी व्यक्ति आनन्दित होते हैं | इसी प्रकार वृक्षों मे फूल खिलते हैं और वायु द्वारा  उनकी सुगन्ध को प्रसारित करने से सारा वातारण सुगन्धित हो उठता है |

Kavim = a poet.     Karoti = do (write)    Padyaani =  poems.    Laalaytatyuttomo =
Laalayati +uttamo.     Laalayati = pleases     Uttamo = best and honourable.
Janaah = persons.     Taruh = a tree.   Prasoote= produces.   Pushpaani = flowers.
Marudvahati = marut + vahati.    Marut = wind.    Vahati = carries forward.
Saurabham  =fragrance.

i.e.       Poets compose beautiful poetry, which pleases connoisseurs of literature and poetry.
Likewise,  trees produce flowers and the wind carries the fragrance of the flower far and wide, filling the atmosphere with fragrance.
