Today's Subhashita.

 अक्रोधेन  जयेत् क्रोधमसाधुं  साधुता जयेत् |
जयेत्  कदर्यं दानेन जयेत्  सत्येन चानृतम्  ||

अर्थ -      क्रोध पर विजय (प्रतिकार स्वरूप )क्रोध न कर के ही
ही प्राप्त हो सकती है   तथा दुष्टता पर विजय  सौम्य स्वाभाव
तथा सद्व्यवहार द्वारा ही होती है |  कंजूसी की प्रवृत्ति  पर
विजय दान देने से हे सम्भव होती है और झूठ बोलने के प्रवृत्ति
पर  सत्यवादिता से ही विजय प्राप्त होती हैं |

(संस्कृत सुभाषितों में कभी एकांगी विचार ही प्रकट होते  हैं |
प्रस्तुत सुभाषित के विपरीत एक अन्य सुभाषित में यह्  भी कहा
गया है कि - 'शठे शाठ्यं  समाचरेत् ' अर्थात एक दुष्ट व्यक्ति के
साथ दुष्टता का ही व्यवहार करना चाहिये | )

Akrodhena jayet krodhamasaadhum  saadhutaa jayet .
Jayet kadarym daanena jayet satyena cxhaanrutam.

Akrodhena = free from anger, suppression of anger.
Jayet = win , overcome.        Krodhamasaadhum =
Krodham + asaadhum.      Krodham  = anger
Asaadhum = a wicked person.    Saadhutaa = kindness.
Kadarya =  miserly behaviour.   Daanena = by giving
away as charity.  Satyena = by the truth.  Chaanrutam=
Cha + anrutam .    Cha = and.    Anrutam = falsehood.

i.e.    Anger can be overcome by remaining cool (by not
retaliating) and wickedness by kindness.  Miserly behaviour
can be overcome by giving away wealth as charity, and
falsehood by adhering to the truth.

(At times Sanskrit Subhashitas express only one sided
viewpoint regarding a situation. For example in another
Subhashita dealing with wicked persons it is said that -
"Shathe shaathyam samaacharet" i.e. a wicked person
should be dealt with wickedness, which is just opposite
of what has said in the above Subhashita.)
