Today's Subhashita.

सहृत्त्मेव  संसेव्यं  गुरुवो  लघुवोSपि   च |
सर्वे वर्णाः समायान्ति सर्वार्थैः श्रुतियोग्यताम्  ||

अर्थ -     समाज के  संभ्रान्त तथा साधारण  दोनों प्रकार के व्यक्तियों
की सहृदयता पूर्वक समान भाव से  सेवा करना, तथा सभी वर्णों और
वर्गों के व्यक्तियों के सहयोग से सभी की भलाई के लिये कार्य करना
यही ज्ञानी और विद्वान् व्यक्तियों की विशेषता होती है |

Sahruttameva smsevyam guruvo laguvopi  cha,
Sarve varnaah samaayi.e. anti sarvaarthaih shrutiygyataam.

Sahruttameva = sahruttam + iva.    Sahruttam = cordially, in a
friendly manner,       Iva = in the same manner.   Smsevyam =
should be served.    Guruvo =big.    Laghuvopi = lagurvo + api.
Laghuvo = small.    Api = even.     Cha = and.      Sarve = all.
Varnaah = castes, categories of people.       Samaayanti =
come together, assemble.   Sarvaarthaih = suitable for every
person or purpose.   Shrutiyogyataam = shruti + yogyataam.
Shruti = learning, scholarship.     Yogyataam = abilities.

i,e,     Serving both the high and low categories of people in a
friendly manner without any discrimination, and doing philanthropic
work with the cooperation of all sections of the society, are  the
special abilities of noble and learned persons.
