Today's Subhashita.

अलसं मुखरं स्तब्धं क्रूरं  व्यसिनं  शठं |
असन्तुष्टमभक्तं च त्यजेद्भृत्यं नराधिपः ||     - (महासुभाषितसंग्रह)

अर्थ -     हे राजन्  !   आपको अपने आलसी, मुंहलगे, सुस्त, क्रूर ,
व्यसनी , दुष्ट, असन्तुष्ट तथा आपके प्रति स्वामिभक्ति न रखने 
वाले सेवकों  को त्याग देना (अपनी सेवा मे नहीं रखना) चाहिये |

(इस सुभाषित द्वारा सेवकों के दुर्गुणों का वर्णन कर ऐसे सेवकों को  
त्याग देने या सेवा में न रखने की सलाह  दी गयी है |)

Alasam mukharam stabdham krooram vyasinam shatham.
Asantushtaamabhaktam cha tyajedbhrutyam naraadhipah.

Alasam = lazy.   Mukharam =talkative.   Stabdham = arrogant,
slow.    Krooram = cruel.    Vyasinam = addicted to vices.
Shatham = wicked.   Asantushatamabhaktam = asantushatm +
abhaktam.    Asantushtam = unhappy, discontented.   Abhaktam = 
not devoted to his master.     Cha = and.    Tyajedbhrutyam =
tyajet + bhrutyam.     Tyajet = abandon. dismiss.  Bhrutyam = 
a servant.      Naraadhipah = a king.

i.e.    O  King !   You should dismiss all those servants who are
found to be lazy, talkative, arrogant, slow, cruel,addicted to
various vices, discontented, and not devoted to you.

(Through this Subhashita by describing the shortcomings of servants,
a King has been advised not to employ such servants.)
