Today's Subhishata.

अश्वं  शस्त्रं   शास्त्रं   वीणा वाणी नरश्च नारी च |
पुरुषविशेषं प्राप्य भवन्ति योग्या अयोग्याश्च ||

अर्थ -    घोडा , शस्त्र ,शास्त्र, वीणा वाद्य , वक्तृत्व शक्ति , ये सभी विशेष
योग्यता प्राप्त पुरुष और स्त्रियों के द्वारा प्रयुक्त किये जाने पर ही  अपनी
पूर्ण क्षमता प्रदर्शित कर सकते  है तथा अन्य व्यक्तियों के द्वारा प्रयुक्त किये
जाने पर अयोग्य प्रतीत होते  हैं |

 Ashvam shahstram shaastram veenaa vaanee narashcha naaree cha.
Purushavishesham praapya bhavanti yogyaa ayogyaashcha

Ashvam = a horse.    Shastram = a weapon.    Shaastram = a discipline
of learning.      Veenaa = an ancient stringed musical instrument.
Vaanee = speech,      Narashcha =  a man's.     Naari = a woman.
cha = and.      Purusha = person.    Vishesham = extraordinary.
Praapy =  having attained,      Bhavanti = become.   Yogyaa = useful.
Ayogyashcha = ayogyah +cha.      Ayogya = useless.

i.e.        A horse, a weapon, a discipline of learning, diction and speech,
show their effectiveness only when handled by men and women with
special talent, and if handled by ordinary persons they are useless for
them.
