Today's Subhashita.

आक्षेपवचनं तस्य न वक्तव्यं कदाचन  |
अनुकूलं प्रियं चास्य वक्तव्यं जनसंसदि || -महासुभाषित संग्रह (4353)

अर्थ -      अन्य व्यक्तियों से बातचीत में कभी भी अप्रिय तथा कटु
भाषा का उपयोग नहीं करना चाहिये  और  जब भी किसी जनसमूह
में भाषण देना हो तो सदैव अनुकूल और प्रिय लगने वाले भाषा का
उपयोग करना चाहिये |

(इस सुभाषित में दी गयी सीख को न मान कर अत्यन्त कटु और
आक्षेपपूर्ण भाषा का उपयोग हमारे राज्ञनेताओं द्वारा किये जाने का
जो दुष्परिणाम होता है यह प्रतिदिन हमें देखना पड रहा है | कई
अवसरों पर तो उन्हें अपने कथन को नकारना  भी अत्यन्त  कठिन
हो जाता है  )

AAkshepa vachanam tasya na vaktavyam kadaachana.
Anukoolam priyam chaasya vaktavyam janasamsadi.

AAkshepa = taunting, sarcastic.abusive.     Vachanam = speaking.
Tasya = his , him.     Na = not.     Vaktavyam = tell,  statement.
Kadaachana  = ever.     Na kadaachana = never,    Anukoolam =
friendly, favourable.     Priyam = pleasently.    chaasya = cha+asya.
Cha = and .     Asya = this.     Janasansadi = assembly of men,
a croud..

i.e.      One should never speak abusively and sarcastically to others,
and while addressing a crowd or an assembly of persons , he should
speak in a pleasant and friendly way..

(Every now and then we see the ill effect of the use of abusive and
sarcastic language by our politicians while addressing the people
at large  or in the Assemblies of the Center  and the States by not .
abiding with the advice given in this Subhashita, At times it becomes    
very difficult for them to negate whatever they have already said..)
