बालोऽपि नाSवमन्तव्यो मनुष्य इति भूमिपः |
महती देवता ह्येषा नररूपेण तिष्ठति || -सुभषितरत्नाकर
अर्थ - एक राजा की बात तो दूर एक बालक का भी अनादर
(दुर्व्यवहार) नहीं करना चाहिये क्योंकि ये मनुष्य के रूप में महान
देवता ही इस पृथ्वी पर हैं |
( इस सुभाषित द्वारा एक अबोध शिशु तथा देश के राजा (वर्तमान
संदर्भ में शासक) को देवतुल्य मान कर उनके महत्त्व को प्रतिपादित
किया गया है |)
Baalopi naavamantavyo manushya iti bhoomipah.
Mahatee devataa hyershaa nararoopena tishthati,
Baalopi = baalo + api Baalo = a child. Api = even.
Naavamantavyo = na +avamantavyo. Na = not.
Avamantavyo = to be treated with disrespect. Manushya =
human beings. Iti = it is, as also. Bhiomipah = a king.
Mahatee = great. Devata = God. Hyesha =hi +eshaa.
Hi = because. Eshaa = this. Nararoopena = nara + roopeana.
Nara = a man. Roopena = with the appearance of a human being
Tishthati = stays, exists,
i.e. What to say of a King, even an innocent child should never
be treated with disrespect, because they are like great Gods in the
guise of human beings on this Earth.
(Through this Subhashita children and a King ( a ruler in the present
context) have been alluded as Gods living on this Earth deserving
due respect.)
