Today's Subhashita.

Aapatkaalopayuktasu kalaasu syaatkrutashramh
Nrutyavruttirviraatasya kireetee  bhavanebhavat.

Aapatkaalopayuktaasu =  aapatkaala+upaktaasu;
ApaAapatkaala = hard times, emergency.    Upayuktaasu =
upayukta +aasu.   Upayuktaasu  =  is appropriate,  suitable,
Kalaasu =  fine arts.( like singing, dancing etc),  skills.
Syaatkrutashramh=  syaat + kruta+ shramh.    Syaat = should,
perchance..  Kruta =  well done.     Shramh = effort, labour.
Nruttyavruttrviraatasya = Nruttya + vruttih+ Viraatasya.
Nruttya =  dance.    Vruttih = profession.    Viraatasya =
King Viraat's      Kireeti =  a diadem (a band worn around
ther head as a badge of royalty)   Bhavanebhavat  = bhavane +
 abhavat.   Bhavane =Palace, residence.   Abhavat = happened..

i.e.         While passing through hard times or an emergency, it
is advisable and appropriate that one should take recourse to
any skill or fine art  known to him and work hard, as was done
by the great warrior Arjuna  by disguising himself as a dancer
by wearing a diadem in the court of  the King Virat .

(  The simile used in this Subhashita is taken from an episode
from Mahabharata, the great epic of Hindu Mythology.  After
being defeated by the Kaurvaas in a game of dice the Pandavas
were banished for a period of 14 years, which included one year
in disguise with the condition that if they are recognised during
this period their banishment will continue.  So, during this period
the Pandavas lived in different disguises as servants of King Virat ,
As Arjuna was also an expert dancer, he disguised himself as an
Eunuch and  served as a dancer in the King's court. )
