दिनांक ३१ दिसंबर २०१५ के सुभाषित में वैद्यवर्ग की निन्दा की
गयी थी | आज एक सुभाषित उनकी की प्रशंसा में भी प्रस्तुत है :-
गुरोरधीताSखिलवैद्यविद्यः पीयूषपाणिः कुशलः क्रियासु |
गतस्प्रहो धैर्यवरः कृपालुः शुद्धोधिकारी भिषगीदृशः स्यात् ||
-सुभषितरत्नाकर
अर्थ - हे वैद्यराज , आपने भली प्रकार एक योग्य गुरु से रोगों के
उपचार की विद्या प्राप्त की है और आप के हाथों मे अमृत के समान
जीवन दान देने की शक्ति है | आप उपचार करने की सभी क्रियाओ
में कुशल , संतोषी , धैर्यवान्, दयावान् , स्वच्छ तथा सभी औषधियों
को व्यवहार करने में सिद्धस्त हैं |
Yesterday I had posted a Subhashita criticising a Vaidya (doctor) .
Here is now a Subhashita praising a Vaidya for his sterling qualities.-
Guroradheetaakhilavaidyavidyah Peeyushpaanih kushalam kriyaasu.
Gataspraho dhairyavaro krupaaluh shuddhodhikaari bhiageedrushh syaat
Guroh = from gurus. Adheetaa = well studied. Akhil = entire.
Vaidyavidyah = the medical science. Peeyus hpaanih = having the
power of 'Peeyush'; the nectar of Gods in his hands. ( Peeyush also
known as 'Amruta; is supposed to make alive even a dead person.
So, metaphorically it means that an expert Vaidya can revive a dying
person. ) Kushala = expert. Kriyaasu = medical practices.
Gataspraho = not very ambitious. Dhairavarh = having patience
Krupaalu = merciful, kind. Shuddho = pure. Adhikaari =authority.
Bhijageedrusha = well versed in prescribing medicines for treatment.
Syaat = perhaps, also.
i.e. O physician ! you have learnt Medical Science under the guidance
of an able teacher, you have the power of curing even a dying person as if
you are holding in your hands the nectar of Gods known as'Peeyusha' , and
are expert in all medical practices, have patience, not very ambitious ,are
very kind and pure at heart and also an expert in using various medicines.
