Today's Subhashita.

Lokadvyamatibhaikanidaanametat-
-Ddhik praaninaamrunamaho parinaama ghoram.

lokadvyam +ati +bhay+eka +nidaanam +etat.=
Lokadvyam= the two worlds.   Ati = too much.   Bhaya =
fear.   Eka = one.    Nidaanam = primary cause.   Etat =
this.    Dhik = what a pity or shame.  Praaninaamrunamaho=

Aho =  Aah !    Parinaama = end result.   Ghoram = terrible,
horrible.   Ekaa = one     Sa = he.     Aiva = really, only.
Hi = surely.   Pumaanparamastriloke =  Pumaan = a man.

i.e.      Oh !  what a pity,  in this World as also the  world
after death, the primary cause  of people being  frightened
by incurring a debt is its very terrible consequences.. Aah !
a person who has never seen the angry face of a wealthy
moneylender is surely the most excellent person in all the three
Worlds.

(This Subhashita condemns the tactics  adopted by money lenders
for  recovering their debt and the terrible consequences thereof by
using a hyperbole.)
