Today's Subhashita.

 हे  जिह्वे  रससारज्ञे  सर्वदा मधुरप्रिये |
भगन्नामपीयूषे  पिव  त्वमनिशं  सखे  ||  - सुभाषितरत्नाकर

अर्थ -     हे जिह्वे  !  तुम विभिन्न प्रकार के रसों तथा पेयों  की
मर्मज्ञ हो तथा तुम्हें मधुर (मीठे और रसीले ) पदार्थ बहुत  प्रिय
हैं  |  अतः हे सखे !  तुम परमेश्वर  के नाम स्मरण रूपी पीयूष का
निरन्तर  पान करती  रहो  |
(मनुष्य अपनी जिह्वा (जीभ) के द्वारा विभिन्न रसों के  स्वाद
का अनुभव करता है | इस सुभाषित में परमेश्वर के नाम का स्मरण
करने की तुलना अमृतपान से कर मानव को अपनी जिह्वा से सदैव
नामस्मरण के  लिये  प्रेरित  किया है |)

Hey jihve rasasaaragye sarvadaa  madhurapriye/
Bhagavannaamapeeyushe piva tvamanisham sakhe.

Hey  =  Oh ! , hello.    Jihve =  tongue/   Rasasaaragye =
rasa +saaragya.    Rasa = juices,    Saaragya = expert on
various kinds of extracts from plants etc.   Sarvadaa = always/
Madhurapriye =  lover of sweet and pleasent things.
Bhagavannaama = the name of God Almighty.   Pweeyusha=
nectar.    Piva = drink/    Tvamanisham = tvam +anisham.
Tvam = you.     Anisham = uninterrupted, continually.
Sakhe = O  friend.

i.e.    Oh !  my tongue, you are expert in tasting various juices
and extracts, and  always love sweet and juicy things Therefore,
I suggest to you, my friend, that you should continually drink
the nectar of Almighty God's name/

( The tongue of man has the special quality of tasting various
types of juices and plant extracts and its liking is for sweet and
juicy things.  In this Subhashita the recitation of the name of.
the God Almighty has been alluded to drinking the nectar of Gods
and exhorts us to do so continually.)
